Seeing as the Christmas period has just finished I thought I would talk about tradition. The music part can come later. With tradition, it has always been instilled in me from my parents for as long as I can remember and I think will live on throughout me to my children. Depending on what they chose to do. It is also linked with my patriotism too. Especially when it comes down to football and Royal events. You should see the outside of my house during a World Cup or European Championship.

Walking Home...
There are a couple of things to talk about this morning, yes at 4am. To explain, I've had a good night out with some friends in town and I cant lay down to go to sleep when I'm a bit drunk. I go all dizzy then feel sick and that's not good for anybody so I'm now writing a blog to pass the time and sober up a little.

Comedy at its best
There's definitely a difference in comedy between the UK and the USA. More specificly about stand up comedy. Over the past few fews I have been BIG on stand up comedy, with the likes of Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre and loads of others from both the UK and the USA. I dont know why but I love watching them all, its like the most watched genre of tv I watch nowadays. I like to laugh thats why and I think I have a very wide span of a sense of humour. For example, my mum and girlfriend alone hate American comedy shows and stand up, whereas I will watch it and enjoy it as well as UK comedy.

The stressful life of being a student
Another blog, the 10th one! Hitting those milestones now, shows the commitment. So, it's Sunday and tomorrow will be the start of my last week of Semester A at university. It seems like it's gone so quick but again so slow. Very peculiar I reckon, I mean it seems ages since I first moved in and met my flatmates for the first time, yet it seems like only a few weeks ago I was learning my first topics about my course. Maybe because they are two different situations it seems different, or I could just be too weird to think this.

Football Fact Friday
Ok, So here it is, the first "themed" blog. It was originally going to be just Fact Friday but the Harlow Hawks Radio station had an interesting theme to their local football round up that week about football facts so I thought I would basically copy their theme. So here goes, here's a few 'interesting' facts about football. Old and new-ish.

Getting my blog on
Hello again and welcome to the strange world of thoughts and opinions from the kid himself, 695!
Sorry about that. Didnt really know how to start the blog today, or what to talk about in all honesty. It's just I'm quite bored waiting for football training tonight with nothing to do. I could do some work for uni but I would rather do something I'm more interesting in at the moment. I can do an alright impression of Peter Dickson (The X Factor Voiceover man), you know, when he shouts "ITS TIME! TO FACE! THE MUSIC!" Or so I think. I could have started with that but then how would you know what I was rattling on about?

The X Factor and Children's Television
This blog has literally just come to mind in the space of an hour. And, obviously is about the much talked about X Factor with the addition of my view on children's television. Basically, Monday's are the only day of the week where I watch daytime television. Mainly because I have a lecture from 9-10 and nothign else for the rest of the day so instead of going back to sleep I'll watch tv. This morning, This Morning is on itv like every weekday and has started off with X Factor and the interview of Rylan, the recent eliminated contestant.

Rant Number 1
Firstly, to get it out of the way, in my first blog I said that I would try to do one every day. In theory I was but when it actually came down to try and write a blog every day, it was pretty hard. Trying to write about something every day doesnt sound hard but when you go to write, you cant think of anything of value to say. So there is no point in saying it really. Therefore I've decided that I will write when something pops to mind. Now, today something has popped to mind and its going to be a rant and the many wrongs in life that we live. It is likely that I am going to have a lot of these as a lot of things do get me a bit annoyed and fussed about so that's why this is called number one.

Not going out...
No I'm not going to be talking about the sitcom 'not going out' with Lee Mack. I'm going to talk about me, as per normal, not going out. It's Friday and the majority of my flat are out at the local nightclub/venue called The Forum in Hatfield. I would be going but I have a slight cash flow problem, well not a problem just I'm on a uni budget and well, I dont have a lot of money to be spending it on getting pissed. Mind you, I'm playing football tomorrow, so Friday nights is a no no for me now anyway. Instead I've been glued to my Xbox all night playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, because as previously stated, I have no money to be spending it on new games.

Back in the game...
This title has two meanings although one meaning is more valid than the other. The first meaning is I'm back blogging after a few days as I was unable to blog due to some unexpected family problems. However thats getting a bit better now so I'm back and ready for some blogging. The second meaning is that I'm playing football again and that I am absolutely buzzing for it.

The time of year in all its glory
November, the time when all the Christmas stuff comes about in to mass production and promotion after Halloween and Bonfire night. I mean I know its for businesses to make their sales as soon as possible and for people to get prepared for the Christmas period, but I just dont agree with it being so early. For me, the Christmas period starts when you start seeing all the decorations outside homes and through windows (I'm not a peeping tom, just nosy and it's hard not to notice when people leave their curtains open at night, we all do it). So that is around about 5th December onwards, thats when I get them little butterflies as I start to realise its nearly Christmas. However, in November it just seems too early for me, I know the nights are getting longer and its getting a hell of a lot colder, it doesnt feel like Christmas yet and seeing all these Christmas adverts and displays from stores just feels wrong, as if they were selling it after Christmas, it just isnt right for me.

The University of Hertfordshire amongst other things
So, for my second blog I have decided to talk about me being at university, the University of Hertfordshire in fact. I've now been here for about 8 weeks, so far its been great, I've moved away from home (not saying that's the great thing) but I'm now becoming an independent man living on my own and fending for myself, although not fully independent, seeing as my dad sent a couple of money packages over already. Nevertheless, I'm still buying all my own shopping, cooking my own food and soon, hopefully, will be getting a job. I have a job interview on Friday 16th for McDonald's in Hatfield, but the interview is in Stevenage! I've got to go all the way to Stevenage for a 20 minute interview. Oh well, its better than no interview, to be honest I'm not nervous, I'm looking forward to it, and am confident that I will do well. If not then, well that's life and I'll just look elsewhere for a bit of extra money.
Well, well, well, what do we have here?
So, casually been peer pressured into writing a blog...something most 19 year old men do. If only that was true, although people would probably go mad trying to read everybody's life story and rants on a blog. I suppose it isnt too bad, just writing about what you are feeling or thinking about that day/time, depending on how often people blog. I think I'll try to do one every day, some of you will worry about this comment, but yeah...why not? There isnt any harm in writing, and at the end of the day its something to do than play games or look blankly at your friend's posts on Facebook or Twitter. I suppose I should try to explain why the blog page is called the 695 review or probably not, but I'll explain anyway. It started from a night out down the Elehouse, a student bar on one of the campus' at the University of Hertfordshire, of which I attend and study a degree in Accounting and Finance.
