Comedy at its best

There's definitely a difference in comedy between the UK and the USA. More specificly about stand up comedy. Over the past few fews I have been BIG on stand up comedy, with the likes of Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre and loads of others from both the UK and the USA. I dont know why but I love watching them all, its like the most watched genre of tv I watch nowadays. I like to laugh thats why and I think I have a very wide span of a sense of humour. For example, my mum and girlfriend alone hate American comedy shows and stand up, whereas I will watch it and enjoy it as well as UK comedy.

The difference in my eyes is the enthusiasm and the on stage presence that American comedians have which most British comedians dont have. I'm not saying that its a bad thing, its just the difference from across the pond. A lot of British comedians are more reserved in their comedy performances, I'm not saying all of them but a lot of them are. The likes of Lee Evans, Rhod Gilbert and Michael McIntyre show great enthusiasm and stage presence in their performances. However, the likes of Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock are amazing in their stand ups. They have the audience in huge laughs and applause after a joke. Again, its not a bad thing on the UK's part its just different senses of humour from the two nations.

See the thing is with comedians, everything they say is normally so true that you have to laugh. For example, with my new job at McDonald's I have a clock on my till so I know the time but I keep looking at it and time doesnt go quicly when I look at it a lot. Chris Rock on his stand up talks about this and its just so funny it makes me laugh everytime I watch it because I can relate to it. If I can upload it on here and it works you will understand where I'm coming from.

But each to their own I suppose. I will praise any person that would try stand up comedy, I couldnt do it. I have thought of a lot of stuff that I could do for some stand up that I think would get a few laughs but I dont think I'm a very funny person to do that stuff. Let alone have the confidence to try to be funny on stage. I mean I'm funny to look at but not a comedian. If I was heckled I dont think I'm quick witted enough to come back and find some comedy from it straight away and then most likely die on stage. My nephew Jake on the other hand is the quickest person to come back at you if you give him some banter. He's always been like it since whenever I could remember, he's so cheeky its unreal. I know I have some creativity in me somewhere, Ive just got to find it somewhere and test it out.

On my mum's side of the family there is creativity just oozing out of them, mainly with art or music but I have tried both and to be honest I cant see any creativity from them points of view for me, I have no co ordination for instruments, Ive tried drumming and thats about the only thing I'm alright at. Artistically I am appalling, you should see some of my grandad Philip's paintings from when he was alive, they are so good he could have done it professionally, its the same with my uncle Peter, he is an amazing artist. This also goes down to my brother Adrian who is a great graffiti artist too. Ahhhh well we will see, when I have a bit of free time I'll learn something, or I'll try something out that shows some creativity.

Here's the video, lets hope it works. Enjoy it because I find it so funny.
